Saddle River Valley Surgery Center (the “Center”) is a freestanding outpatient surgical facility dedicated to a broad range of surgical procedures. Our current specialties include Ophthalmology and Plastic Surgery with plans to expand into Bariatric Surgery, Gastroenterology and General Surgery in the near future. The Center is committed to the delivery of highest quality outpatient care and acutely focused on each individual patient. Our Medical Staff members have dedicated themselves to caring for patients within our surrounding communities.
Position Description
The Center Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Center, within the authority of the Governing Board. This includes planning, organizing, and directing overall operations for the Center according to its policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. The Administrator ensures that the Center meets all relevant local, state, federal, and accrediting-body rules and regulations and responsible for financial and cost-containment decisions within the Center. The Administrator serves as internal risk manager, and is responsible for management of all aspects of the environment of care, personnel, materials management, equipment procurement, education of personnel, and administrative duties. The Administrator coordinates and directs patient care in the Center according to adopted policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and accepted accreditation standards. The Administrator promotes a favorable image of the Center to physicians, staff, patients, insurance companies, and the general public, and may delegate duties as he or she deems necessary. The Administrator reports directly to the Vice President of Operations for the Center’s management company.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of surgery center business and clinical operations;
- Working knowledge of standard accounting principles, financial statement review, and budget development;
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated ability for self-direction and initiative;
- Excellent communication skills
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of surgery center management experience
- Registered Nurse with a Business Background a plus
- CASC Certification a plus
Other Qualifications:
Strong leadership skills are required. Must be able to work well with others and handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently, while maintaining a professional, courteous manner.
